Deliveries

Delivery and shipping charges are in addition to the gift cost. Please be careful when submitting information. We cannot be responsible for incorrect addresses provided. All local deliveries to business addresses will arrive by 5PM. If their office is closed for lunch, it will be delivered to a neighboring suite. If you need your order delivered to a local address by a certain time, please let us know the details so we may set up the on demand hand delivery with our courier service. Additional charges will apply for redelivery, multiple and time-sensitive deliveries.

If delivering to a gated community, we will need to gain access and will need special instructions. Residential deliveries, if no one is home, the package may be left at the front door if the courier feels it's safe or with a neighbor.

Shipping to hotels, please contact hotel so that they are aware and to expect the package. We will need the hotel's phone number also.

UPS ground estimates 1-3 business days for East coast deliveries
3-5 business days for Mid-west deliveries
5-7 business days for West coast deliveries
These times are estimated from UPS not Carried Away.


Shipping

Our packages are shipped within the continental USA via UPS, Monday -Friday via regular ground service, unless you request otherwise.  At this time we do not offer international shipping.

Shipping charges are based per address. To avoid extra charges and delayed deliveries, be sure you are providing us with a COMPLETE and CORRECT address, including suite # and company name if going to a commercial location. We can not ship to P.O. Boxes. There will be a minimum charge of $10 for address corrections. Also providing a telephone number is helpful to the courier. The courier will only use this if they are having trouble with the delivery.

A link will be sent to you from UPS to track your own packages.

We promise complete satisfaction on all products. We accept returns within 48 hrs of delivery if products are damaged in shipping.
Original packaging must be saved.

We respect your privacy. Your credit card and contact information will be kept confidential.

Ordering

Currently you may place orders but payment is not made at checkout. A copy of your order is emailed to us and to you. Carried Away Gifts will contact you promptly after receiving notification of your order and at that time will discuss your order and collect payment information.

As you order items, they are added to your shopping cart. At any time, you can see the contents of your cart by clicking View Cart.

When you are finished shopping, click View Cart or Finished Shopping-Submit My Order. You will be taken to your shopping cart, where you can adjust quantities or remove items. Be sure to click on Recalculate if you change quantities or remove items.

When you are satisfied with the contents of your cart, click on Go To Payments. You will fill in your billing name and address and additional contact information such as phone and email. It is very important that you enter your correct email address since this is where a copy of your order is emailed to. Next you can fill in the shipping address if it is not the same as your billing address. Last, you may check the box that says 'Remember my name and address for future purchases'. If you choose this box, your information will automatically be filled in next time you place an order on our site.

The last step in the ordering process is to select a Payment Option. Currently our web site does not accept payment. Your order is emailed to us and we will contact you promptly to finalize your order and gather payment information. Click Continue to go to the next screen where you will enter the phone number we are most likely to reach you at. Now your order has been placed and you should receive a copy at the email address you specified.

Can I ship to multiple addresses? Yes. For example, you would like to send the same item to each of your three friends, you would fill in the first recipient's name and address on the form provided below the item, specify an optional message to be included with the gift, and click on Order Now. You will be taken to a page showing you the contents of your shopping cart, with the item and shipping address for that item. Click on Continue Shopping and you'll return to the product page where you can enter the second recipient's name, address, and message, and click Order Now. When you are done shopping and you're ready to finalize your order, you will be asked for a shipping address. If you have items in your cart for which you have not specified a shipping address, this is the address where those items will be sent. Usually this will be the same as the billing address.

Can I send one item to one address and another item to another address? Yes. Just enter the first recipient's address in the form below the item, click on Order Now. You will be taken to a page showing the cart contents, with the item and shipping address for that item. Click Continue Shopping, go to the page for the next item you'd like to order, and enter the address for the second item. Click on Order Now and you will see both items in the cart, each with the address you specified.

Can I order items in bulk quantities? Yes. When you are on the product page, skip down to the gray order form box, enter the quantity, and click Order Now. These items will be shipped to the shipping address you will specify after you are finished shopping and go to checkout.

Can I ship items to multiple addresses AND order in quantity? Yes. For example, you want to send the same item to each of three friends AND you would like ten of that item (or even a different item) shipped to your address. Follow the instructions above for shipping to multiple addresses and the instructions for ordering bulk quantities. When you're finished, view your cart and you will see each of the three items with the addresses specified, and you will see the item you ordered ten of. The quantity of ten items will be shipped to the address you specify when you finalize your order and go to checkout.

Can I order a quantity of an item to be sent to one address and a quantity of the same (or another item) to a second address? In this case you should order the first item and proceed to checkout, specifying the first shipping address; return to the site, place an order for the second item and proceed to checkout, specifying the second shipping address.

How do I remove items from my shopping cart? When you're on the shopping cart page, change the Quantity to zero or uncheck the checkbox next to the item, then click Recalculate.

I ordered some items, but now I can't figure out how to View my shopping cart. Click on any category such as Occasions or Corporate, and click on the View Cart button at the top right.

Carried Away Gifts considers itself an extension of your Marketing Department. We will gladly include any promotional items you may have.

NOTE: Chocolate is shipped only October through April.


Substitutions

Occasionally substitutions may be necessary to ensure timely delivery of your gift choice. We will make every effort to substitute with an item as similar as possible to your requested gift choice. Carried Away reserves the right to make substitutions with items of equal or greater value.
